Celebrating Our Partners
Throughout their 45 years of marriage, the Palmers formed relationships and partnerships that were “not just about golf, but made possible because of golf.” Not only did Arnold Palmer achieve success on the golf course and in business off of it, he completely reinvented what it meant to be a professional athlete and what it now means to be engaged in the business of sports. Today, the Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation honors these relationships that mattered most to our founders.

Our Relationships
Mastercard
Arnold Palmer and Mastercard began a priceless pairing in 2004 when they joined forces for The Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard. For nearly 20 years, the tournament has brought the best of golf at Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Club & Lodge to audiences around the world while inspiring the next generation of players, coaches, volunteers, and fans.
Pennzoil
Arnold Palmer was taught at a young age that he needed to “take care of the old equipment.” Growing up in Latrobe, PA, Mr. Palmer first learned to drive on a Toro tractor: one that would become famous in the series of iconic Pennzoil advertisements. Arnold Palmer’s relationship with Pennzoil symbolized his blue collar upbringing, and commitment to doing the little things himself.
Cherry Hills Country Club
Few of Arnold Palmer’s 92 professional victories drew support from crowds like his 1960 US Open win at Cherry Hills Country Club. Mr. Palmer’s resounding final round 65, complemented by his on-course celebrations, echoed throughout the world and helped raise an Army of fans.
The Pebble Beach Company
Pebble Beach Golf Links went through a series of ownership changes over the years. That came to a stop in 1999 when Arnold Palmer and a small group formed the Pebble Beach Company, with the goal of giving the iconic property a stable ownership future. In addition to being one of the owners, Mr. Palmer went on to lead restorative course work there that included rebuilding greens and adding bunkers, ensuring that Pebble Beach would remain a beloved and accessible fixture in golf for generations to come.
Hertz
Hertz and Arnold Palmer have been together for 40 years: from continued sponsorship of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, to Mr. Palmer’s prominent role in Hertz’s advertising. Hertz has featured the World Golf Hall of Fame icon in print advertisements, radio and television commercials, and other promotions over the years.
